Arctica Saga

Chapter 6- And it Begins....

 

~Juno~

Alita came into the room, just as the transmission ended. She looked up at me with worried eyes, "I heard everything...tou-san...what are you going to do..? She has kaa-san!" I saw tears well up un her eyes.

"I'm going up there...taking some troops with me with me, Jet Force Gold..." he looked at Juno, "And Gemini...."

"I'm always ready to fight for my planet sir.." I replied, there is no way I'm letting Arctica win!

"Are you sure that will be enough General?" asked Jeremy, I saw him a bit shaky.

"That'll be enough..." Alita says, "I'm coming with you!"

"No!" he retorted.

"Demo tou-san!" Alita cried, clinching her fists.

"No demos! I lost so many people in my life that I care for! My father and Son Gohan, the closest thing I had to a brother! Them and close friends you grandmother told me about! I only had her and your mother! I'm not losing anyone again!" he barked, and he stormed out of the room.

I looked at Alita, she had a sorrowful look on her face, "Alita....are you alright?" She looked up at me, and then she past right by me.

Two days later, I was on the ramp leading to our cruiser, we were heading for Arctica's fortress up in space, Gen. Vegita, Vela and Lupus were already on, I haven't seen Alita since the night Arctica first contacted us. Alita and I...well....I'll stop there. I sighed, I could understand, this would be a bit harsh for her.

"Juno!" Then there she came, running towards me with her grandmother, Bulma, behind her, "Juno! Wait!" I paused and looked back at her. Alita wore a white tank top and shorts, her sword was on her back (as usual). She wrapped her arms around me, giving me a warm hug. I heard her cry.

"Alita...what are you doing here?" I sighed, wrapping my arms around her too.

"Juno, I want you to be careful....." she sobs, "Promise me...."

I kissed her on the lips , "Yakusoku Alita, I swear it." 

"Here," says Bulma, handing me a small bag into my hands, "Trunks forgot these from a good friend of ours, Karin, these are Senzu beans, you too might need them if you run out of energy, these restore them...." she says, smiling warmly. Alita's grandmother is very kind-hearted.

She looked up at me, and reached but her neck, and took off her locket, "Here....take this..." she says, handing it to me. "I want you to take this, it has been giving me luck and keeping me alive...I was wondering if you can take it...you might need it..."

I took it and placed it on my neck, but under my suit so it wouldn't fall, "Thanks....." I smile and looked down at it, then back at her, I put my hand under her chin and held her close, landing a tender, long, warm kiss on her lips. "See ya' soon, Alita-chan...." and I boarded the cruiser, waving 'good bye'.

"Good bye..." she whispers, crossing her arms.

And there he went, up into space. Grandma walked up behind, "I know, it's hard to see them go...I felt the exact same way when your grandfather went to battle the Cyborgs many sad years ago....."

I looked at her, "What happened to him?" I ask.

She sighed, "Well..." she looked up at me, with a tear in her eye, "He....died....he was killed...."

"Oh....." I looked into the skies, "Will they be okay?" I ask.

"I hope so...." she murmurs, she took a capsule out of her pocket and tossed it onto a ground. With a blast of smoke, it turned into a sky car.

"Where are you going?"

"Back home, I gave your father a few transmitters, for all seven of them, I'm going to see and listen what is going on up there...." she replied, "It's one of the Capsule Corporation's latest inventions, it hasn't got a name but it that doesn't matter!" she jumped into the car, "Wanna come to?" I nodded my head and jumped in with her and off we went.

Grandma encapsulated the car and walked in, I looked around, "Oh boy, tou-san wasn't joking went he said that this place was big."

"You haven't been in here?"

"No, I haven't, I've only been in the gravity room...." I replied.

Grandma walked over to a computer in another room and turned it on, "Now, all I have to do is turn on the program, watch and listen..." she looked up at me, "You know, you can go to the gravity room and listen there while you train, I'm just suggesting since you have nothing else to do, if you want to have something to eat just ask!"

"Really? Thanks grandma!" and I bolted out of the room and into the gravity chamber." 

I took of my sword and set the machine for four hundred times normal gravity, then, I felt something pull me down, hard! I got back onto my feet and started stretching, soon throwing a few punches and kicks into the air. Then I heard grandma's voice, I broke my out of concentration and I fell to the ground, "Alita, I'm turning on the connection......now." and then, I hear blasting noises, they got there that fast?

I heard my father' voice as I threw an energy blast in the room, I dodged it and tried to stop it with my hands, bad move. It blew up in my face and sent my hurling towards the wall. He said, "Titania! Juno! Cover me while I try to find my wife and find Arctica before she blows the planet into small bits! The rest of you stay here and try to destroy the drones for as long as you can!" 

"Trunks!" cried Juno, "I'm getting a power signal close by, turn to your right!"

Then the footsteps stopped, it was quiet. "Who...is this sir?" I heard Titania say.

"Zarbon.....but how....my father killed you!" my tou-san cried.

I heard an voice, an Australian accent, say, "Yes, Vegita attempted to destroy me on Namek, but thanks to Arctica's power and technology, partially Mizar's, I became one of their best creations!"

"With Mizar's technology? Come on, I was able to defeat Mizar myself!" cried Juno, "A mere human such as me!" he cried half angry. half sarcastic, I could hear it. I turned off the machine, grabbed my sword and headed back to my grandmother, I wanted to see what was going on now.

 I saw Zarbon's face, it was hideous! Part of his face was all chrome, a red laser eye came out of it, and it looked  like it came out of the soft green skin of his face. His arm was large and mechanical, like the plating on his head, it looked like it was grown from his shoulder! The look on grandma face, she looked disgusted, I could see why..."Yes, that is true, but somehow, some of his remaining drones transported his vital parts to my beloved Arctica, her men rebuilt Mizar and added just a few more feature, say, death rays, energy blasts, protective armor, and the old ones are still there..." Zarbon mused.

I heard Juno remark, "The electric rays, eye lasers, meteors, and acid breath....those were hard enough to even dodge..." 

My grandmother looked at it, biting her lips, I grabbed a seat beside her, then a huge, giant bug came from a dark cave behind Zarbon, "Mizar, how long did it take for you to get here?"

"Madam Arctica asked me to tell him," he said, pointing to my father, "To meet her in ten minutes at the bridge, otherwise, his woman is going to die!"

"Don't you dare hurt my sister!"

"Hush Titania!" I heard my father cry. 'Titania is my aunt? What else do I need to know!?!?!' I thought to myself. 'Does that mean Ru-yan and Ceria are also related to me?'

I heard my father curse and head for the cave Mizar came out of, and charged into it. I turned to my grandmother, "Turn on Juno's transmitter.."

"Alright," she said, turning onto another screen, "Transmitter number three coming up!" 

I now I saw what Juno saw. I saw Zarbon heading for Titania and they soon got themselves for a free for all fight. Juno's view then turned to Mizar, who was heading right for him, full blast! A claw batted him to a wall. I gasped, I heard him quickly get onto his feet and took out his machine gun and blasted the giant bug into the face. It stalled it for a while. "That was close..." I heard him gasp, then I heard coughing, I got worried, then his hand came into view, blood was all over it! "This is not good..." he mumbled.

I leaned down on my chair, I wanted to cry, I felt grandmother put her hand on my shoulder, I looked up at her, "Will he be alright grandma?"

She was silent, then, "Come with me...." She lead me to a large room, with many vehicles, sky cars, hovers, spaceships, grandma lead me to another room, a smaller one, this one had guns, a whole lot of them! She reached into a closet and pulled out a two piece armor. One of them was just blue, it is probably suppose to cover the entire body except the arms, the other piece was white, part of it was yellow (The straps and the part where to stomach is suppose to be.). The suit looks like it was meant for a woman! "Put these on!" she informed me, passing it to me.

"What is this?" I asked, taking off my clothes.

"This is Saiya-jin armor, you father has one as well....I made one for you if you needed it.

I smiled at her and gave her a hug, "Arigatou grandma.... arigatou gozaimaz!"

"Anything for love Alita....." she replied, I looked down at her, "I know you love the boy....I can see through your eyes and into your heart...." I smiled happily, a bit flush. "Now," she reached into a drawer under the closet, "Put these boots and gloves, I'll be right back, I also made an extra transmitter for you, I want to go fetch it..."

I wrapped the straps of my sword on my back and put the gloves and boots on. I walked back out into the hanger and my grandmother came running to me, passing me the transmitter.

"Ready?" she asked, I nodded, "Now, go into that space ship and I'll explain the controls" she said, bringing me to one of the aircrafts, it had a shape of one of those fighter jets I saw at the Tenkaichi Budokai before the competition. "This thing is really fast, it's programmed for the destination and back, I've done that already, the button to encapsulate it is over here, "she says, pointing to a red button on the side. "Don't worry, it won't do it if it is occupied. All you have to do is turn it on and off, the controls are over here, and if you run into enemies, the blasters arm over here and the command for rockets are over there. Got it?"

"I guess...."

"Now, I'm going to open the hanger and when I give the signal, turn it on." I nod. "Oh yeah," she reached into her pocket, "Here is the case for the capsule. Now off I go!" she says, running into the controls.

"Thanks.." I say, as the ship closes.

"Ready?" she says, on a screen in front of me. I nodded, she opened the hanger I winced at the sunlight, "Good, on the count of three.....one......two.....three!" and I pressed the on button, I felt a slight pull on me as I took off. Now all I had to do was wait....

~Juno~

I dodge another one of Mizar's rays, not only that he was more powerful, he's fast too! I dodged another, then another! Kami, what was I going to do about this? Well....I know one thing, I'm not giving up! I took out my homing missiles and aimed at his wing controls, shooting three at a time, I smirked, at least his weaknesses are still the same. I pulled out a grenade and threw it at Mizar's face, he cried in pain, "AGGGHHH!!! You going to pay for that dearly!" 

I stepped back and leaned against the wall for as long as I could, I was exhausted! I took off my helmet, and all was on was that transmitter Trunks' mom gave to us. It was really hot wearing the goddamn helmet which made it frustrating for me! It was only used if something fell on my head. Then Mizar glared at me again, I didn't have time to put my helmet back on because he immediately shot and energy blast at me. I dodged it but I fell on my arm, "Kuso!" I cried, struggling to get onto my feet, I looked up, a hug energy ball was hurling towards me, really fast too! 

I felt as if I was going to die, I closed my eyes, then a voice cried out, 'Final Flash!' I opened my eyes, just as the blast was about to hit me, another energy blast, a yellow one, threw the first one aside. Then I faced Mizar, a sudden flash was seen on his arm, it sliced it off! Mizar cried in pain. Then, something appeared above him, on my left. It was Alita! Wearing some kind of blue and white armor. "Have you had enough or do you want some more?!?!?!" she roared, her sword in her hand. 

"Alita!!!!" I cried out, getting back onto my feet.

 I saw her look down at me. Smiling, "Juno...." I see her whisper, she stared back at Mizar, then she was surrounded by white aura. "Now....shee nay!!!!" and then she gathered a red orb of energy, 'Dragon Fire!!!!' and she threw it at Mizar, he blew up and dissolved in mere seconds! 

Alita looked back at me and flew towards me, putting her sword back in it's sheath. She hugged me, "Alita, what are you doing here, you can get hurt!" I cries, hugging her back.

"Better me then you!!!" she sighed, I touched her face.

"How did you get here?" I asked, she reached into her suit and took out a case.

"You can thank my grandma, her spaceship is in this little thing!" she smiled, and looked at me. "I wanted to come so she let me go, equipped with this Saiya-jin armor and the spaceship. She looked at Titania, who was in an even match against Zarbon. "Listen go rest somewhere safe but in my sight, I need to help my aunt...."

"Your aunt?" I ask, as she flew into the air, then she points at her head, right where the transmitter was suppose to be on my head. "Oh...."

Alita glowed once again, disappeared and reappeared behind Zarbon, Titania was the first to see her. She tapped on Zarbon's shoulder and turned his head, his face meeting Alita's fist, and his stomach met her knee. He fell back. Titania flew beside Alita, "How....did you get here?"

"Don't worry about that aunt Titania! Let me just finish Zarbon now!"

Titania looked confused and then smiled, "Alright!" They both looked down at the mangled brute.

Alita flew down towards Zarbon and stepped on his stomach. "AAARRRGGH!! Kono ama!

They both flew down and found me Alita gave me another hug, but a more tighter one then before. Titania looked into the cave, "Two down, I other large power to destroy..." she whispers.

"Where's my dad?" Alita asked, I looked down at her. I pointed to the cave.

"He went to try and save you mother....I haven't seen him since then" A huge blast roared from the cave. She broke apart away from me, and looked at the blast, she then started running towards it. "Alita where are you going?"

She stopped and looked back at us, "I've got to help them, I'm not losing them again after spending fifteen and nineteen long, painful years waiting for them...." she smiled warmly, "... take care..." and she blasted into the cave.

"Alita....." I whispered, "Your so brave...." Titania reached into my pocket, and took the bag of Senzu beans that I forgot to give to Trunks. 'Uh Oh...!' I thought to myself.

She passed a bean to me and ate one herself. "Eat this," I took the bean and put it into my mouth. Then I felt my energy being restored!

"Whoa..." I said, looking at my arm, no scratch! I looked back to where Alita had run off to. "Titania, give my the Senzu beans...."

"Why?" she asks, passing the bag to me.

"I got to give them this," I looked back, "They might need it..." I smiled and ran after Alita as fast as I could.
